While tax credits for six product categories expired December 31, 2013—including insulation, roofing, windows and doors—there are 4 product categories for which tax credits are available through 2016.
They are: Geothermal Heat Pumps; Residential Small Wind Turbines; Solar Energy Systems; and Fuel Cells.

To apply for the consumer tax credits, you need to file the IRS Form 5695 with your taxes. Save your receipts and Manufacturer’s Certification Statement for your records. You may be asked to submit copies with your taxes.

TIP: If you had insulation installed in 2013 and haven’t yet done your 2013 taxes, contact us. You might be eligible for a tax credit of up to $500.
